FOOD & DRINK

Our breakfasts are cooked to order using local produce where possible.

We strive to accommodate all diets and preferences and should you have any specific requirements, including vegan or gluten-free options, please let us know in advance of your stay with us.

Breakfast is served from 8 am to 9.45 am, earlier breakfasts are available by arrangement.

Continental breakfast is available for room service.

We offer homemade granola with Greek yoghurt and berry compote, creamy porridge oats, pastries, thick-sliced toast and preserves followed by your choice of a hot breakfast – all prepared fresh to order.

We use delicous free-range eggs from Yolk Farm, our tasty pork sausages and bacon are from Masham Butchers, we also have vegan sausages available.

Dairy free coconut yoghurt, oat or almond milk are available on request.

Franklin Mount Guesthouse is just a short walk away from a wide range of great restaurants and bars – to help you plan your stay, here are a few of our favourite eating places.

We recommend you book a table to avoid disappointment.

Should you prefer to bring in your own food or grab a takeaway please feel free to use the dining room. We are also licensed, so you can enjoy a bottle of local beer or wine available.

Cold Bath Brewing – fabulous microbrewery 5 mins walk on Kings Road

Christies Bar – short walk on King’s Road, a proper pub, has live sports

North Bar – great food & drinks, friendly service and lots of outdoor seating (Pizza Social next door, amazing sourdough pizzas!)

The Little Ale House – independent craft ale micropub, warm vibe plus outdoor seating

Blues Bar – fantastic live music, fun atmosphere, gets very busy in evenings

Stuzzi – 5 minutes’ walk on King’s Road, serving little plates of Italian cuisine

Piccolino – classic Italian on Parliament Steet, wonderful spacious venue, rooftop cocktail bar open when the weather is good

Bon Gusto – family-run Italian, relaxed atmosphere

William & Victoria – traditional, classic British

Drum & Monkey – wonderful seafood restaurant, one of the oldest in Harrogate

Mykonos Bar & Grill – a short walk from us, traditional Greek, always busy

The Fat Badger –outdoor seating and great atmosphere, the restaurant (separate to the pub) serves amazing food
